I am so excited to be part of this gorgeous new exhibition, opening on 6 September at The Crypt Gallery in Kings Cross.
Generously sponsored by Suna Interior Design, the show is curated by Rebecca Tucker, Jill Desborough and Lee Eveson, and wonderfully supported by ArtCan.

I'M ON TV!
24 July 2022
Whilst I can't pretend the programme was all about me, I had great fun watching this engaging and informative documentary about the RA Summer Exhibition. Presented by the one-and-only Joe Lycett, it was on BBC2, and can still be viewed on the BBC iPlayer app - "Joe Lycett: Summer Exhibitionist".
My cyanotype "Aquarius" and I pop up a few times in the background. It was exciting to see Aquarius heading for the traditional judging stool, which has been part of the RA forever - a bit like the sorting hat at Hogwarts. Luckily, it was picked!

SHORTLISTED FOR THE VISUAL ARTISTSÂ ASSOCIATION PROFESSIONAL ARTIST AWARD 2022
29 July 2022
It was a lovely surprise to learn that I have been shortlisted for this year's VAA Professional Artist Award!
Further rounds of judging will take place later in the year.
Watch this space, and wish me luck..!

ST ANDREWS ECO HUB
1 July - 31 August 2022
I was delighted to be invited to display four of my cyanotypes in the Eco Hub, to help promote their plastic-free initiatives this summer!
The Eco Hub has all sorts of wonderful projects underway in their new premises in Kinnessburn Road, St Andrews. It has completely refurbished an old betting shop using reclaimed materials and soon it will also be adding a full refill facility in addition to the resources it already offers.
One of the amazing things the Eco Hub supports is the St Andrews Beach Wheelchairs on the West Sands (famous for being the beach in the opening sequence of Chariots Of Fire). I will be making a donation to the Wheelchairs for any of my works sold during their time on display in the Eco Hub.

EAST NEUK OPEN STUDIOS
2 - 3 July 2022
This year's Open Studios was fairly quiet, possibly due to a recent surge in Covid cases locally.
However, my visitors proved that it is quality, not quantity that counts!
I had so many lovely comments and I was very happy to also sell some of my work, including to one wonderful collector who arranged to come back after the event to make the purchase they had been considering.
Our next event will be at Bowhouse, by St Monans on the weekend of 5 November.

SELECTED BY GRAYSON PERRY, CBE RA
14 June 2022

Aquarius was selected by the one-and-only Grayson Perry to hang in his excitingly vibrant yellow Gallery VIII in London's Royal Academy of Arts.

The Summer Exhibition is now open and runs until 21 August 2022.

SELECTED FOR THE ROYAL ACADEMY SUMMER EXHIBITION 2022
1 June 2022
I am beyond delighted! This cyanotype has been selected to hang in this year's Royal Academy Summer Exhibition on the theme of 'Climate'.
Made using washed up old rubbish
(and with the invaluable participation of 'Dave')
this piece addresses climate change through our over-dependence on
- and refusal to address the consequences of -
an endless stream of single-use plastics.

EXHIBITION IN PARIS - WE ARE INTERNATIONAL!
1 MAY 2022
Paris has always been a favourite city of mine and I really could not be happier to be showing my work as part of a group show with the wonderful ArtCan, hosted by Kroll, in the 9th Arondissement of Paris from the beginning of May until December this year.

INVITATION TO THE UNIVERSITY OF ESSEX AND ARTIST'S TALK
28 APRIL 2022
It was such a wonderful surprise to be invited to exhibit some of my work at the University of Essex's Art Exchange gallery and deliver an artist's talk on my work in the gallery on 29 April.

The exhibition addresses food waste and food justice.
Entitled '6.7 million tonnes: we have bin through a lot', this fascination group show featuring eight international artists runs until 27 May 2022.

ONLINE SCULPTURE EXHIBITION
25 APRIL 2022
Not many people know that I also make sculptures from my beach-salvaged items, in addition to my more familiar cyanotypes.

I was particularly delighted to have been selected by curator and wonderful sculptor Cath Stocker to be part of her innovative virtual exhibition dedicated entirely to sculptures which have their inspiration in activism and offer new insights beyond what is immediately visible to the viewer.

Artivism In|Sight is hosted on the ArtCan website at www.artcan.org.uk and can be viewed in 360 degree virtual reality, complete with a beautiful soundscape recorded especially for this exhibition.
