What a lovely surprise to find my work featured by the Visual Artists Association as an Editor's Pick to promote their Professional Artist Award 2022.
It is fun to see my work transformed into a promotional flyer - I like it!

PRIVATE VIEW SUCCESS STORIES

Thank you to all my lovely visitors and purchasers yesterday evening!
I was delighted to sell four cyanotypes, with interest in a couple more. I really appreciate your support!
I was also amazed and bemused to discover that someone had pinched my poster from outside the Gallery!
I am pleased to say that the poster has now been replaced and my show will continue to run until takedown on 11 March.
Opening times of The Southgate Club and Gallery are in the image above.
I will be at the Gallery from about 6:30 til 7:30pm on Saturday 5 March, following my cyanotype workshops in the afternoon (see separate news bulletin). Please let me know if you are planning to visit.

SOLO EXHIBITION ANNOUNCED!

I am delighted to announce my first solo exhibition in London.
"Winter Blues" will run from 12 February to 11 March at The Southgate Club and Gallery, as part of the Enfield Winter Lights festival.
Private View is on Wednesday 23 February from 6pm, as part of Southgate Art Evening.

MAKE IT BLUE CHRISTMAS CARD

I was delighted to have the privilege of being asked by Make It Blue UK to design a greetings card for their Christmas fundraiser to support mental health and well-being of live events professionals who lost their jobs because of Covid and have no government support.

​

EAST NEUK OPEN STUDIOS AT BOWHOUSE

5 November 2021

This weekend, 6 - 7 November, I will be joining fellow ENOS artists at Bowhouse near St Monans for their pre-Christmas art fair.

​

This year, ENOS are supporting Footprint East Neuk, our local environmental charity. Artist have donated prizes to a fundraiser and ENOS have also been planting trees in recognition of COP26 which is also happening this weekend.

​

I have lots of original work for sale, some prints and new card designs for Christmas, which I am selling to support two local appeals: for the Anstruther Lifeboat Boat Shed and the Cellardyke Tidal Pool restoration.

CYANOTYPES IN ST ANDREWS

I had a wonderful evening with the St Andrews Art Club as their guest speaker, talking about my art and the cyanotype process. Such a warm welcome and so much enthusiasm - and great questions!

I am really looking forward to visiting them again next year for a practical workshop in cyanotypes!

LIVE DEMONSTRATION OF CYANOTYPE TECHNIQUE

As part of the Liminal Ties Unveiled international exhibition at J/M Gallery, I was invited to create a live demonstration of my technique outdoors in London's famous Portobello Road.

We had great fun making it and thanks to some skilled editing by our curator, Rita Carta-Manias, the video has some useful insights and not too many interruptions from our lively choice of venue!

ELEVATE 03 EXHIBITION EXTENDED TO THE END OF 2021

This piece, "Where's The Catch?", is now going to be on display until the end of December 2021 in The Shard, London. 

This is a group exhibition with ArtCan, hosted by Kroll on level 14 of the iconic Shard building.

NEW EXHIBITION OPENS NEXT WEEKEND

'Crossing The Liminal' is a group show with ArtCan, curated by Lucy Pickford.

"Now more than ever the connections we have with the places and spaces we live in are some of the most important. Whether you’re disconnected from the places you love or are discovering new places near where you live and appreciating it in a wholly new way, the outdoors has offered us an escape from the realities of life in a pandemic. As our relationship with these places evolves we find something new in them. Crossing the liminal seeks to explore these new connections, memories of old and the transition between the two." I am showing my new triptych 'Into The Blue', created for this show and inspired by my long-awaited return

to open-water swimming in 2021.

Tickets for the Private View on 27 June can be booked through Eventbrite and the event will also be live-streamed via the ArtCan IG Channel during the afternoon.

ART ON THE STREETS

During the month of June, the finalists in the From Studio Lockdown Open Call have their work on display on digital billboards throughout Enfield, North London. My selected piece is at 57 Green Lanes, N13.

CAT COULTER IS NOW AN EAST NEUK OPEN STUDIOS ARTIST
